Prof. Emanuel Krasovsky

Professor of piano and chamber music. Chair of the piano department at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Tel-Aviv University, where he was formerly Deputy Director; and co-founder (1991), Artisitic Director and faculty member of the annual Tel-Hai International Piano Master Classes in Israel.

Born in Vilnius, Lithuania. Studied at the Rubin Academy of Music, Tel Aviv University, and Juilliard in New York.

Krasovsky won prizes at the International Bach Society, the Gina Bachauer memorial award, and first prize at New York Piano Teacher’s Congress international competition.

Krasovsky has appeared as soloist with Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Festival, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Weill Recital Hall in New York. He also played chamber music recitals in Israel, Europe, USA, and the Far East. Krasovsky was co-founder and director of the semi-annual chamber music festival in Zichron Yaacov.Krasovsky2

Emanuel Krasovsky has served on the juries of numerous international competitions: Arthur Rubinstein (Tel Aviv), Paderewski in Bydgoszcz (Poland), Leeds, Calgary, Dublin, Helsinki, Tbilisi, Bremen, Oberlin, Boesendorfer/Schimmel, Cincinnati, New York, Jose Iturbi, Valencia, Kiev, Novi Sad, Takamatsu, the Konzerteum (Greece), etc. Also, he has taught master classes throughout the world.
